Frontiers is a Wild West steampunk themed live action role-playing game using boffer & Nerf weapons to resolve combat in a simple rules system with a strong focus on role-play, costuming, and atmosphere. Overall Theme
Money. It’s the heart of the American Dream to become filthy rich overnight. The California Gold Rush of 1849 was the source of this dream for the hundreds of thousands of people who traveled from far and wide to mine the gold fields of the wild west. For many, the California Gold Rush did not have the results they had hoped for, but gold is discovered at Fort Colville of the Oregon Territory and a new gold rush is on.
Fort Colville was established in 1825 as a fur trading post with the local Native American Indian tribe, but as more people hear about the gold there, the Fort Colville Gold Rush is about to begin. The name of the game is to make In-Game money using any means, within the rules and social expectations, as you see fit.
Frontiers would like to explore a dilapidated feel of steampunk with rusted metal, tarnished brass, and worn leather of a working class trading post town mixed with the shining new of inventions and the incoming wealthy all within the typical Wild West American vision.
